PERSONAL MAIL

Outgoing letters can be sent out from the mailbox located at the entrance of DINFOS parking lot.
TELEPHONE SERVICES
Use of cell phones is limited to personal time. Students are not authorized to bring cell phones to class while attending DINFOS. Emergency telephone calls from family members should be through the American Red Cross .
LAUNDRY AND DRY CLEANING
Laundry Service is not available on Fort Meade. Washers and dryers are provided at billeting or in the dormitory for NPS. AAFES dry cleaning and laundry services are available on post, if desired. Facilities are located at the PX/Commissary Town Center.
BANKING FACILITIES
There are two banking facilities on Fort Meade, the Fort Meade Federal Credit Union and PNC. These facilities do not normally cash checks without an established account. ATM machines are located inside DINFOS, at the auto teller, between the commissary and bowling alley, and the 24 hours Shoppette. Check cashing is available at the Post Exchange.
LEAVES AND PASSES
Leaves will not be granted during the course unless under emergency and special conditions.
Passes that cause students to be absent from scheduled training may result in dismissal from the course. See Leave Policy for additional information.
Prior Service Students Reporting in/Billeting
PS: All PS TDY students must reserve lodging at Fort Meade Lodging Office, DSN: 622-6529 / 5884 or COMM: 301-677-6529, as soon as you receive your official travel orders. If Fort Meade Lodging Office cannot accommodate you, you will receive a non-availability number to authorize procurement of lodging off post. In processing /Reporting to the detachment All students will report to the Reece Road Gate Visitor Control Center (off Hwy 175). If arriving by air, students should take a taxi from the airport to the billeting office, located at 2793 Hawkins Drive (approximately $25 reimbursable). Mass Inprocessing briefing is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 1630 at the Detachment. There will be no appt. needed for outprocessing. Ensure you have a copy of your orders. Emergency Contact Info: Before leaving your duty station or immediately upon arrival, advise your family to contact the American Red Cross in case of an emergency. This method is the most expeditious means of providing family member assistance. You should also provide your family with a copy of your TDY orders.
CRIME PREVENTION
Crime prevention is the responsibility of all personnel assigned or attached to the USAF, detachment 2. In the event of a break-in or theft, the individual suffering and/or discovering the loss should immediately report the violation to the Military Training Leader on duty and the Military Police. Any unauthorized weapons will be confiscated and could lead to dismissal from the course.
UNIFORMS
All students will wear any combination of blues on Monday. BDU/ABU will be worn Tuesday through Friday (organization ball caps are not authorized while in training). Service Dress is required for USAF personnel participating in a formal graduation ceremony at DINFOS and those without the proper uniform will not be allowed to participate in ceremony. Some classes do require the wearing of AF PT gear. Questions about dress and appearance should be directed to AFI 36-2903.
PHYSICAL FITNESS
DINING FACILITY
All meals are available and directed for Air Force students attending DINFOS. The Chesapeake Dining Facility hours are as follows:
Monday - Friday Breakfast: 0600-0800 Lunch: 1115-1245 Dinner: 1700-1830
Saturday - Sunday Breakfast: 0800-0930 Lunch: 1130-1300 Dinner: 1700-1830
Smoking policy
In accordance with 36-2216, "Administration of Military Standards and Discipline Training", students are prohibited from using tobacco products while enrolled in any Professional Military Education or formal training school, during school duty hours, to include: Basic Military Training, Technical Training, Officer Training Group, Airman Leadership School, Undergraduate Flying Training, and the US Air Force Academy.

Relocation

Non-Prior Service Students (Recent Basic Trainee Graduates): You will receive your assignemnt notification, assignment orders and outprocess procedures from the CSS.
Technical Students/NPS
Welcome From the Flight Chief Det2/336MTF Congratulations on your completion of Basic Military Training. This is a significant achievement and you should be proud. Our overall mission at Det 2/336 TRS, is education and training; providing the Air Force with the most qualified personnel while reinforcing sound military standards and customs and courtesies. During your stay, you will be required to follow a program of military and technical training. The following information is provided to help make your stay at Fort Meade rewarding and pleasant.
In-Processing
Upon your arrival at Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport, you will pick up luggage at the Baggage Claim and proceed directly to the United Service Organization (USO) located in the airport. If an AF staff member is not present upon your arrival, notify the detachment at (301) 677-4468 / 5699 / 5039. When you arrive at the detachment, you will be assigned a room and you will in-process the detachment. During your in-processing, you will receive in-depth instructions and briefings about the detachment, Fort Meade, and the surrounding area.

Restrictions
During your stay at Ft Meade, you are expected to follow standards established to aid in your transition from Basic Military Training. Upon your arrival at Ft Meade, you will enter the Phase Program which will be explained upon your arrival.
