While serving in the Marine Corps, the Oak Park, Ill, native was a combat correspondent assigned to duty stations throughout the world. The last book he read was "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. BPAS-B 110-07 STUDENTS GRADUATE
Students graduate from the Basic Public Affairs Specialist Broadcaster course. This course provides knowledge/skills needed to train broadcast journalists to support public affairs journalism and broadcast missions throughout the Armed Forces. It is designed to train the student to assume the role of a military broadcaster in an American Forces Radio and Television Service outlet or on a ship, post, base or station public affairs office. Students graduate from the Basic Public Affairs Specialist-Writer course Nov. 2, 2007 after learning to communicate through the print medium. The 56-day course is performance-based and combines instruction in writing, photojournalism and public affairs. As a final exam, each class produces a 24-to-36-page newspaper called The Final Cut. BASIC MULTIMEDIA ILLUSTRATOR COURSE CLASS 070-07 GRADUATES
A graduation ceremony was held for the Basic Multimedia Illustrator Course class 060-07 Sept. 25, 2007. This 66-academic-day consists of manual graphics, computer graphics design and interactive multimedia training. NEW DINFOS INSTRUCTORS GRADUATE
Instructor Training Course class 010-08 graduated here Nov. 6, 2007. The training lasts three weeks and prepares newly assigned personnel for instructor duty. ITC is the first phase of the instructor certification process. Once instructors complete three levels of performing proficiency they are then certified. Instructors can also go on to attain master instructor status, which entails completion of six training modules, a written exam and an oral board.
